With the title of the show being ‘Reaction’ I looked into the music industry and how the change over from the record store to the internet has effected the way people share, discover and engage with music. From my research I found that the primary way people share, discover and engage with music is online. The Internet is a vast and constantly growing landscape that caters for the buying need of every individual. The digital age has brought with it a disposable nature. The industry has become a thunderous cloud of white noise. The infinite variation combined with instant accessibility has warped the music world through contradictions born of convenience and apathy. And left it a disposable and disconnected one. The project outlines the problem, cause and effect of the new music market.
