patrick horan wins rsa design award

Year Four Visual Communications student, Patrick Horan has won an international award for his response to the RSA ‘Moving Pictures’ brief. The Foster Award, worth £1,000 stg, will give him the chance to start his career in Dublin and he later hopes to move to London and work in the motion design and animation industry.

Patrick said, “Winning this award has definitely been the highlight of my year, and is the perfect send off before I finish my time at Limerick School of Art & Design. It has really helped me create such strong connections with international names such as Aardman Studios and Territory thanks to the interview process in London, and will help me find my feet before I start working with Dynamo Creative Agency in Dublin. This year has been a whirlwind of great experiences for me, and I couldn’t have done it without the amazing support of my course tutors and friends.”

This win signals great things for Patrick in the future. The course is very proud of his wonderful achievement as he begins what it sure to be a very successful design career.

Patrick will receive his award at the RSA in London on June 20.
